Happy Christmas Posted on Sunday, December 25, 2011

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.
It is a beautiful day in the mountains, the sun is shining and the sky is blue.
We skied into Meribel this morning, lots of fresh powder on and off piste and very few people around.
We took the new lift back up to the Saulire and joined friends for drinks at the Bouc Blanc restaurant.
Christmas lunch later on today in Chalet Juliette.

I love the fact that it is quicker to ski to the post office than drive. Lovely conditions today, cool temperatures and a bit of sun peeping through the clouds.
Sat on a lift with some people from Kazakhstan, they thought it was a bit cold, but we were on the Plantray lift, which is quite exposed, and the wind was blowing lightly.
Back in the office now, cup of tea and some Christmas cake is my next job.

Very snowy today. Just the verdons bubble was running as windy at the top. Was the only one on the Loze Draglift that didn't get off at the stade. (competitors training for the world cup this weekend)
It felt very eerie skiing down back to La Tania with no-one else around. Very heavy powder, and poor visibility.
Glad to get home, conditions very tricky.
